Most people think of off days from training as necessary for their body. I am starting to think it is just as much for your mental state. Today was an off day for me but I was busy at work and drove much of the state of California. I am sitting here tonight not tired and thinking I can't wait to work out tomorrow. It will be a short run and a swim day as I prepare for Vineman on Sunday.
It has been some time since I had a complete day off and as I get older I know I need to incorporate more of these into my schedule. Anyway, for you athletes out there, don't be afraid to take at least one day off. It will be worth it.
